Today I began researching for the investigation and the effects that corrosion has on different metals in different environments. I primarily focused on the metals, aluminium and iron and the environments of salt concentration, oxygenated water, deoxygenated water, and high and low temperatures. Research was also done on the different corrosion rates between metals and why some corrode more than others and why some are more resistent. It was found that all metals corrode differently and have specific chemical properties (most of which can be explained from the activity series and where the metals lie on the periodic table).
